Agile Building Systems

In Agile Prototyping this year we focus on the following building systems based on the meta disciplinary elements from A framework for meta-disciplinary building analysis (McGinley & Krijnen 2022).

In week 1 you will choose one of the following systems to work with this semester. Each system contains examples of how to apply the Agile Prototyping Methodology Part 1 to it.

1. Site
2. Floor (This was missing in the orginal paper) (Including Storeys, slabs and the plenum)
3. Facade (named skin in Figure 1)
4. Core
5. Space (Including circulation and Fire evacuation)
6. Structure
7. Services (Including Fire Sprinklers etc.)
8. Fire (Included in services in Figure 1)
9. Materials (This system is not included in Figure 1.)
10. Build (This system is not included in Figure 1.)
